BS-Zelda Complete: Beta Release One Documentation By: Roto --------------------------- CONTENTS 1. What is BS-Zelda 2. Information 3. Usage 4. Stuff 5. Thank-Yous --------------------------- --------------------------- Section 1: What is BS-Zelda --------------------------- BS-Zelda is a Super Famicom BS-X game. It is a complete remake of the game 'The Legend of Zelda', written and designed for play with the BS-X satellite add-on for the Super Famicom. In a similar fashion to other BS-X games, BS-Zelda has four distinct parts, which were playable over a period of weeks. When the ROM was dumped, and released, by a person named 'yuyu', it was only the third week, thus allowing only a portion of the game to be completed. My hack, BS-Zelda Complete, is a successful attempt to allow the entire game to be completed, taking note of what was available during each week of play. --------------------------- Section 2: Information --------------------------- This is a beta release of BS-Zelda Complete, it adds the following features to the game: -Full playability of the game, from start to finish. -Accurate observation of the game's weekly distribution, based on the completion of levels available during that week of play. -A decent intro, and game over screen. As well as a completely half-assed game ending. -All components necessary to handle save RAM. -Full music. -The ability to choose between the Male and Female character. -As well as other minor things. BS-Zelda Complete: Beta Release One, lacks the following things: -The ability to add a name to a saved game. -A finalized title image. -Thorough beta testing. The following bugs are known to exist: -A mistake in either the register or delete save RAM routines, may cause the game to hang when attempting to load a game, after using these features. A simple solution is to reset the game, then try to load again. -It should, also, be known, that the patch has only been tested on the 'zSNES' emulator. Other, unlisted, but obvious, bugs may appear when playing on a different emulator, or a real Super Famicom/Super Nintendo console. --------------------------- Section 3: Usage --------------------------- To use this patch, you will need a few things: -A BS-Zelda ROM image, I will NOT provide ROM images to you, it is up to yourself to get one. -An IPS patcher. There are quite a few programs which can use IPS patches, you should have no trouble finding one. -An emulator, or other method, with which to play the game. Simply, use an IPS patcher to apply BSZldCom.ips to a ROM image, and play. Also a Time crack patch is required. --------------------------- Section 4: Stuff --------------------------- Distribution: You may distribute my 65c816 code ONLY in the original archive in which I distributed it. You may not add or remove files, especially ROM images, to the archive for distribution. You may not include my code in a ROM image for singular distribution either.
